About Net Socials

What is Net Socials?

Net Socials is a social tennis community where players of all skill levels come together to connect at the net. We aim to make tennis accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We started in May 2024 with 30 mates in a WhatsApp group! The community is still new and we are super excited about working on a plan to serve the growing Net Socials community.

When and where does Net Socials meet?

Our main events happen weekly from May through to September (the summer season) at locations across London, with first access posted in our WhatsApp group each week during this period. We run other exciting events such as Socials and Master Classes during this time too! In the Winter/Autumn season, we run sessions on a weekly/fortnightly basis on weekend mornings.

How do I join a session?

Just head to our Events page to grab a ticket for the session you fancy. We post fresh event updates every Sunday at 7pm in our WhatsApp group, it's the best way to stay in the loop and catch a vibe. You can also check our website any time to see what’s coming up. Can’t wait to see you on court!

Cost and Payments

How much does it cost to play a tennis event?

Game costs vary depending on court locations, but are typically £6-8 per person. If you come just to the afters (not playing tennis), there’s no charge. Special event costs vary.

I bought a ticket but can no longer make it, what do I do?

We recommend please using the self-service function on Ticket Tailor to cancel your ticket with ease, at least 48 hours before so we can give your ticket to someone else. If it is after this, unfortunately we cannot issue a refund. Please find our refund policy here.

Equipment and Participation

What happens if it rains and it’s an outdoor event?

A little bit of rain never hurts! But we will make a call on the day if the weather deems the courts unplayable, notifying you by midday. If cancelled, you will be refunded your ticket fee. Booking fees will not be refunded as this covers ticket vendor fees (they don’t refund us the fee to use their ticket system if an event is cancelled).

Do I need to bring my own racket and tennis balls to the tennis events?

If you have a racket, please bring it. We have a few spare rackets but availability is limited.
We provide all the tennis balls so don’t worry about using your tennis balls!

Can I invite friends to join?

Yes! Feel free to invite your friends to join our community by inviting to the WhatsApp group (requests are approved in the batches across the week) or by booking a ticket for them.

We have a data policy that outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). How do I learn about your policies?

We have a Health & Safety Policy, Afters Drinks Policy and Safe Guarding Policy designed to keep you and all of our community safe. These are available upon request.

How can I support Net Socials or get more involved?

We welcome support with open arms as we grow, particularly with hosting a location, or knowing how we can get support with firm bookings on courts. You can out more about getting involved here
